GRIEF SUPPORT
Your grief does not have to follow someone else’s timetable.
Grief can change how you think, sleep, work, relate and understand yourself. Counselling offers space to make sense of what has changed and find ways to live alongside the loss at a realistic pace.
LOSS TAKES MANY FORMS
Bereavement
The death of someone significant, whether expected, sudden, recent or carried for years.
Anticipatory grief
The emotional impact of an expected loss, serious illness or a future that now looks different.
Non-death loss
Relationship endings, health changes, migration, role loss, retirement or another meaningful disruption.
COMMON RESPONSES
Grief can affect more than mood.
You may notice numbness, sadness, anger, guilt, confusion, fatigue, disrupted sleep, difficulty concentrating, spiritual questions or a changed sense of identity. There is no single correct response.
HOW COUNSELLING MAY HELP
Make room for both pain and life.
Together, you can understand your response, strengthen coping, communicate needs, work with difficult reminders and identify ways to remain connected to meaning, relationships and daily life.
SAFETY AND SPECIALIST CARE
Some grief-related needs require urgent or specialist support.
If you are in immediate danger, unable to keep yourself or someone else safe, experiencing a mental-health crisis, or need psychiatric or medical care, use emergency or crisis services. The fit consultation is not an emergency assessment.
You do not have to carry this alone.
Begin with a short conversation to decide whether grief counselling at Vivid Resolutions is an appropriate next step.
